Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business staff visited Vilnius within the PICASP project.
Staff members from Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business participated in a momentous international seminar, a part of the PICASP project’s capacity-building initiative. The objective of the PICASP project is to facilitate an effective bond between academia and industry, with a specific focus on engaging businesses, entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) managers.
The event, held from September 25 to 27, 2023 in Vilnius, Lithuania, served as a platform for the exchange of project achievements, the sharing of best practices, and the exploration of potential collaborative opportunities among the project teams.
Attended by representatives from Italy, Poland, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, the meeting included contributions from Professor Artūras Kaklauskas, Head of the Department of Construction Management and Real Estate at VilniusTECH. Professor Kaklauskas presented two insightful sessions on current trends in tourism and the innovative application of modern technologies within the tourism industry.
Additionally, staff members were actively engaged in a series of seminars covering diverse topics such as the “Overview of the Lithuanian Heritage Preservation System,” “Lithuanian Jews’ History and Cultural Heritage,” and “Potential Applications of Virtual Tourism in Lithuania.” Moreover, participants had the opportunity to explore key historical landmarks including the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, Gediminas Castle Tower, the National Museum of Lithuania, the historical city of Vilnius, and the Uzupis Republic.
The culmination of the event was marked by a convivial public dinner, fostering networking opportunities and the sharing of experiences among all participants.
Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business staff members at University of Warsaw
On April 16-21, 2023, Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business staff attended a workshop on “Cultural Heritage in Educational and Business Strategies” at Warsaw University in Poland as part of the ERASMUS+ PICASP project.
The PICASP project aims to develop new teaching methods using Practice Enterprise, create courses in entrepreneurship and SME management, facilitate the exchange of best practices with EU partners, and involve stakeholders in curriculum development and graduate placement.
The seminar focused on deliberations concerning cultural heritage practices and obstacles. It included topics such as approaches to studying and recording archaeological heritage, combating illegal trading and safeguarding cultural legacy, post-World War II reconstruction in Warsaw, the historical background of the University of Warsaw Museum, challenges and resolutions in heritage preservation and tourism in Bulgaria and Romania, the business aspect of archaeology in Poland, key challenges, and future growth prospects, as well as adult education pertaining to cultural heritage.
Additionally, the personnel from Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business engaged in practical excursions focused on reconstructing the historical fabric of Warsaw after the war and repurposing former industrial and socialist structures for cultural and commercial use. Senior lecturer Petrisheva N. N delivered a presentation on executing project tasks and achieving goals at University of International Business. The workshop concluded with conversations about ongoing outcomes, requirements, anticipations, and forthcoming strategies.
AS A RESULT OF THE TRIP OF THE PICASP PROJECT PARTICIPANTS TO ITALY ON SEPTEMBER 11-18, 2022.
Within the framework of the project, the staff of the Kenjegali Sagadiev University of International Business (national coordinator for the PICASP project – Erasmus+ PICASP 617540-EPP-1-2020-1- IT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP PICASP “Pilot courses on practical business based on cooperation between universities and enterprises for the development of the Caspian region”, project implementation period 2021-2023 in the person of the project working group, Makhmetova A.M., Narenova M.N., Sikhimbayeva G.M. paid a working visit to Italy, Rome, Pescare, Forli, Bologna from September 11-18, 2022. As part of the trip, meetings were held with the project’s Grantholder inPescara, training seminar for administrative staff on the subject of the project, ICA presentations.
FOLLOWING THE RESULTS OF THE TRIP OF THE PICASP PROJECT PARTICIPANTS TO AKTAU ON APRIL 21-24, 2022.
Within the framework of the project, employees of the Kenjegali Sagadiev University of International Business (national coordinator for the PICASP project) represented by the PICASP project working group Narenova M.N. and Sikhimbayeva G.M. and Professor Massimo Bianchi of the University of Bologna, M.Sc Gabriella Paganelli, visited the Yesenov University of Aktau on a working visit. During two days, a training seminar was held for the teaching staff and the working group, as well as meetings and discussion of the process of implementing the working project No3 “Quality Plan”, proposals for the implementation of the PICASP project were presented, each participant presented a presentation, discussions were held on the content of the work, individual assignments were distributed.
Report on the results of the trip of the PICASP project participants to the Tamgaly tract
Within the framework of the project, first-year students of various specialties perform SRS (independent work of students) on the topic “Open-air museums (Semirechye)”. The teamwork of students will contribute to the improvement of interdisciplinary knowledge, the development of practical, communicative, and language skills. During March – April 2022, students studied the literature on the project topic, each student submitted a written paper, discussions were held on the content of the work, and individual assignments were distributed.
On April 17, 2022, as part of the project, a trip was made to the Tamgaly Tas tract near the Ili River (120 km from Almaty), where petroglyphs depicting mysterious deities and Buddhist inscriptions were preserved on the rocks.
