What is it?
The group of educational programs “Finance, economics, banking and insurance” is a complex of knowledge in the field of banking and insurance, money circulation, state and local finance, securities market, taxes and taxation, financial management. The programs have a number of competitive advantages:
Firstly, the educational programs are designed taking into account the requirements of employers who are members of the Academic Council of the UMB;
Thirdly, the bachelor’s degree program provides for the study of a foreign language in 1-3 courses, as well as a specialized discipline in English in the 4th year (for Russian and Kazakh departments);
Secondly, practitioners – leading specialists of the National Bank, second—tier banks, investment companies – are involved in lectures on specialized disciplines in order to master students’ professional competencies;

- Mastering the mechanisms of public debt management, analysis of extra-budgetary funds;
- The order of planning, accounting and reporting at enterprises, organizations, institutions, to find solutions to typical tasks and solve non-standard tasks, to work independently in positions requiring an analytical approach, to apply forms and methods of the financial and legal mechanism for the sustainable, stable functioning of the system, body, business entity or other activity within the legal framework provided for legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international norms of law

Every year, students of the Finance, Economics, Banking and Insurance Business direction take part in the Exchange Simulator Training Auctions organized by the Irbis Financial Markets Information Agency with the support of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC, in business case solving championships with the support of employers such as Ernst & Young (EY), Mars, Danone, Sanofi and others, as well as in student subject Olympiads of urban, national and international scale.

The specialized program takes into account the wishes and capabilities of the listener: the individual educational and thematic plan contains a list and sequence of subjects, the subject of classes and their time, as well as the possibility of private one-on-one consultations with the teacher in the main specialized disciplines, where the listener can ask exactly the questions that he faces directly in his work
