What is it?
The educational program trains specialists in the tourism sector who have not only knowledge, but also practical skills in creating relevant tourist products for tourists from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as foreign tourists wishing to visit our country. The educational program is compiled in accordance with the atlas of new professions and professional standards in the field of tourism. Every year, changes are made to the educational program taking into account the results of an analysis of similar programs of leading universities in Kazakhstan and abroad, market requirements and recommendations from employers. The training is provided with obtaining the certificate of the global reservation network “AMADEUS”
The purpose of the educational program is to train highly qualified specialists who are competitive in the labor market, in demand by modern enterprises and market structures, ensuring the sustainable development of a competitive tourism industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan, focused on preserving the historical and cultural heritage, improving and spiritual development of the nation, satisfying consumer demand for tourist and health resort services for citizens of Kazakhstan and foreign guests.
- Apply knowledge and skills in effective work, both individually and in a team, demonstrate communication skills and psychological readiness in practical activities in the specialty, in working with specialists from related fields, make management decisions; be able to organize the work of performers.
- To be able to plan, organize and evaluate the financial activities of tourism enterprises. Possess the ability to control the implementation of technological processes and job descriptions in the activities of a tourist enterprise.
- Predict the system of external and internal factors affecting the activities of tourism enterprises, both in the domestic and international markets. Possess knowledge and skills in managing a tourism company in conditions of uncertainty and crisis.
- Use theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in designing, creating and promoting a competitive tourism product.
- Apply the knowledge gained in the course of studying general educational and professional disciplines in their work activities to obtain a systematic understanding and increase the effectiveness of managerial influence.
- Use advanced communication technologies in professional activities, the ability to competently build communications based on the goals and situations of communication, freely communicate on professional topics in the state, Russian and foreign languages and realize the social significance of one’s profession.
- Possess the basics of economic knowledge, have scientific ideas about management, marketing, leadership theory and understand the essence of the main phenomena and urgent problems in the field of management of tourism enterprises.
- Apply computer methods for collecting, storing and processing information used in the field of professional activity, use modern information technologies, and be flexible and mobile in various conditions and situations of the world economy.
