The restaurant and hotel business is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the economy in the world and a source of income for the country. Therefore, at the present stage, the issues of training specialists for the hotel and restaurant business are becoming relevant, the demand for professional specialists who are able to quickly adapt to the environment, are ready to practice, determine the most promising and flexible solutions and be able to predict demand is increasing.

During the course of this educational program, students will learn the European booking system Amadeus. AMADEUS is a booking system for air tickets, hotels, cars, rail transport, ferries, and cruises. This will improve the professional level of our graduates.

Hospitality Management

The Hospitality Management education program provides students with a balanced combination of hospitality knowledge and skills and professional experience, academic training, and entrepreneurial thinking to transform the hospitality industry in the Kazakhstan market. The educational program aims to teach administrative, operational, and commercial tasks to companies in the hospitality industry, such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, food service businesses, stores, casinos, amusement parks, and many other related businesses.

Competences

  • Knowledge and skills in the theory of management of accommodation and catering establishments, law, management, promotion of intangible products, in their practical activities, to understand the essence of the main phenomena and urgent problems in the management of organizations in the hospitality industry;
  • Free use of specialized programs Amadeus, R-keeper, Shelter, fluency in Excel, Outlook, and all Microsoft Office programs for document management, generating reports in these programs, the ability to analyze and interpret them.

Managing and Organizing Events

The educational program “management and organization of Events” is aimed at training future specialists who carry out their professional activities at enterprises of the hospitality industry, who will be competitive in the labor market, are in demand by modern enterprises and market structures, are able to effectively adapt to the dynamically changing social and professional conditions of activity in the hospitality industry, and also have a high level of readiness to implement the main professional functions, able to constructively influence the nature and direction of the development of professional areas of their activities, possess the skills of organizational work and management in conducting small and large-scale events.

Competences

  • Knowledge and skills in creating and maintaining project documentation, understanding project management tools, intellectual potential and strategic thinking (creative thinking and innovation/ analytical and conceptual thinking), managing company changes and adapting their own activities;
  • Knowledge and skills in effective work, both individually and in a team, to show communication skills and psychological readiness in practical activities in the specialty, in working with specialists from related fields, to make managerial decisions; to be able to organize the work of performers;
