Mission – providing free access for users of the UIB to the world information resources.

VISION

Library has to represent cultural and information environment
conforming to the standards of the first-string libraries of the higher
educational institutions of the country and the world.

Library’s purpose

comfortable library for students, undergraduates, doctoral candidates, faculty and university staff;

convenient time for work (users) of the room (light, cozy reader’s and functional areas rationally designed, placed and equipped according to modern trends of organization of library space);

organization of library service (range of services/products, conditions of their assignation) corresponding to demand and situation in the market;

automation of library and bibliographic processes allowing to eliminate routine operations and rationally use the working hours;

Library’s main objectives

  • Information support of forming up of the system of specialists training quality assurance, provision of scientific-educational process with traditional and electronic information resources;
  • Formation of library stock in line with university’s profile and readers’ information needs. Organization and maintenance of reference-bibliographic apparatus and databases;
  • Development of information culture: transfer of skills in using library, book and other teaching aids. Training of readers to work with reference aids including in automated mode.

Library’s structure encompasses delivery desk, book depository, 3 utility rooms for storage of the library stock, light, cozy reading rooms equipped according to modern trends of the organization of library space.  There are 96 seats equipped with 25 computers with availability of free access to the INTERNET resources, Wi-Fi is connected.  The library is equipped with copying-duplicating machines.
Library services at the university are rendered by 7 qualified specialists.

 Monday – Friday: from 08.00 to 19.00, Saturday: from 09.00 – 14.00
Operating mode of a reading room No. 3
 Monday – Friday: from 08.00 to 19.00, Saturday: from 09.00 – 14.00
Operating mode of the international information-library center (office 321) and reading room No. 2
 Monday – Friday: from 11.00 to 13.00
During the examination sessions reading rooms No. 1, No. 3 work:
Monday – Friday: from 08.00 to 20.00, Saturday: from 08.00 to 18.00.
Last Saturday of the month is a cleanup day.
