International programmes

UIB University annually sends 40 to 60 students in Europe and East Asia the program of academic mobility, double and triple diploma, foreign internships for undergraduates, doctoral, MBA program students.

The advantages of mobility is that the students:

  • Plunge into the English-speaking environment;
  • Get acquainted with the foreign education system;
  • Can explore subjects that are not at the University of UIB;
  • get acquainted with the culture and traditions of other countries.

During the academic mobility students may study elective subjects according to their choice, not only for their specialty, but also in the other fields. The choice of disciplines should be done prior to the departure, then signed by the 3 parties to the agreement (learning agreement), which defines all selected disciplines. After completion of the mobility of students receive academic transcript of a partner university.

For most universities abroad require a high level of English. Our partners themselves determine this level.

UIB University the first university in the Republic of Kazakhstan having the mobility programs in Russian, intended for students without IELTS and TOEFL certificates.

Every year 25-35 students are enrolled in the dual degree program. For applicants in 2016 UIB University offers a 2-degree programs in the following countries:

Enrollment rules:

  • Students enrolled in two universities at the same time in the SBA and in the WSB-NLU;
  • Students are trained on the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd year at of UIB, and 4th year studying at WSB-NLU;
  • Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, students take the remaining subjectsfor UIB diploma;
  • Students write a thesis for the UIB and WSB-NLU in English;
  • Polish degree is awarded at the same time Kazakhstan and degree;

Triple diploma programs

Polish-American University WSB-NLU, offers undergraduate programs in English, Polish and Russian languages. Polish-American University WSB-NLU is among the ten best universities in Poland.

Enrollment rules:

  • Students enrolled in two universities at the same time in the SBA and in the WSB-NLU;
  • Students are trained on the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd year at of UIB, and 4th year studying at WSB-NLU;
  • Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, students take the remaining items for UIB diploma;
  • Students write a thesis for the UIB and WSB-NLU in English;
  • American degree is awarded in conjunction with the Polish and Kazakhstan degrees, on the basis of the tripartite agreement;
  • In order to successfully enroll in a triple diploma program, students must have a high level of English, preferably confirmed by certificates of TOEFL, IELTS.

international project – STUDIK project

Student self-governance and democratic participation in Kazakhstan

The main objective of the project – establishment of the independent student unions in Kazakhstan, consisting of elected representatives, giving them the opportunity to organize themselves, to be politically active and to play a major role in the university life. At the same time it will create the mechanisms of influence on the management of the university (through student representatives that are a part of the Senate / Faculty Council) and improve student services, create a benchmark for solutions of student problems.

STUDIK project aims to develop and strengthen students’ self-government and democratic participation in Kazakhstani universities.

This approach includes four specific objectives:

  • increase the knowledge about the current state of student government in Kazakhstan and the European Union member countries to build bridges for the transfer of EU experience and enable the introduction of models;
  • to establish and improve the general understanding and acceptance of student participation in university processes by students, senior university officials and Ministries;
  • establish mechanisms to strengthen the motivation and the opportunity for students to organize themselves in student boards and modernize their impact in Kazakh universities and society at large;
  • create a suitable legal and institutional framework for the student government universities in Kazakhstan
